Julie Brandt’s entry into fashion happened at an early age, as the daughter of the Danish designer duo Erik and Margit Brandt. Her interest in the industry grew, and after reading business studies, in 1994 at the age of 21, Julie opened one of Europe's first lifestyle and fashion concept shops, the acclaimed luxury lifestyle store Rue Verte, which was selected as one of the world’s leading luxury stores in teNeues’ trendsetting book, Luxury Stores – Top of the World. In 2005, Margit Brandt, the fashion and lifestyle brand that pioneered fashion in the 60s, 70s and 80s, was relaunched, with Julie playing an instrumental role in the revival of her parents’ renowned brand. Here she gained hands-on experience in building and running a successful international fashion label. The combination of Julie’s unfaltering sense of style and her interdisciplinary skills, where creative talent meets hands-on commercial experience, has resulted in the creation of the eponymous fashion label JULIE BRANDT.
