Maya was founded in Denmark in the 1970’s. The founders chose the name Maya with inspiration from the ancient Mayan civilization which is recognized for the colorful, aesthetic and sophisticated approach to art and architecture. The Mayan inspiration and our own Scandinavian heritage is now the basis of our Maya Copenhagen brand. We always seeks to design our accessories in a contemporary setting, never losing sight of our history where each product should represent our DNA which is the Scandinavian design, ethnic sophistication and a splash of color. With love for each style and care for detail we design our accessories which include scarves, hats and gloves.
